Mr. Haller is an Arizona native; he has enjoyed living in and watching the state of Arizona grow over the past 60 plus years. He has seen the valley grow and expand almost to Tucson and as far north as the mountains and Lake Pleasant. Having traveled extensively while he was in the U.S. Marine Crops, he believes there is no better place than Arizona.
He’s taught in the Paradise Valley School District for 30 years while living in north Phoenix before retiring and moving to Wickenburg. After his daughter graduated from Wickenburg High School, the opportunity to teach and coach presented itself, which he took. Having not taught for a few years, he missed the interaction with his students. So, here he is. His philosophy on teaching is simple. “Everyone can learn, anyone can be average, and students do not have the right to fail.”
He has taught Physical Education, Journalism, Video Productions, Advanced Graphics and computers during his teaching career. Here at Wickenburg he is involved with the CTE department and teaches Career Tech and Business Management classes.
Mr. Haller’s coaching career has been a long one blessed with some tremendous athletes and people. He has coached football, basketball, track and baseball during his tenure as a coach. He has been blessed with meeting and working with some tremendous students that have gone onto to do great things and be even better people. He has enjoyed watching young people become adults knowing he has had a hand in their development.
