There are many Courses at WHS in the field of Performing Arts and could not be possible without the dedicated help of our Performing Arts instructors:

Mr. Modzelewski

Mr. Modzelewski was born and raised in Branford, Connecticut where he graduated from Branford High School in 1991. He then went onto Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT and transfered to Fordham University at Lincoln Center in New York City, New York. He has a mother, Annette and a brother, Scott. Mr. Modz graduated college with a degree in Theatre and Performing and also worked in regional theatres in Connecticut. This year he is teaching Intro to Theatre, Advanced Theatre, Applied Theatre, Stage Production, and Advanced Stage Production.

Mr. Britton

Mr. Britton is our new band teacher this year and although this is his first year, this guy has lots of experience in the field. He has performied in 29 states and eight countries, including a tour with the Phantom Regiment drum and bugle corps. Mr. Britton attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he got two bachelors, one in Music Education and the other in Trumpet Performance. This year he started an indoor drumline, which includes drums, keyboards, electronics, guitars, and other modern instruments. - Band
